Practice on a Piano That Pushes You Forward

Most students never get to practice on a true concert-level instrument. CT Piano’s private rehearsal studio gives pianists across Connecticut access to a world-class Schimmel concert grand, so the piano supports your growth instead of limiting it.

A Studio Designed to Elevate Serious Pianists

Most students practice on whatever piano is available.

Very few ever experience what it feels like to play on an instrument that truly responds at a professional level.

At CT Piano, we’ve created a dedicated practice and rehearsal studio where students, teachers, and pianists can rent time on a world-class concert grand- an instrument rarely available outside concert halls and elite institutions.

This studio exists for one reason:

To show pianists what they are capable of when the instrument is finally working with them, not against them.

I grew up playing on a piece of junk.

It's what we had and we were grateful, but our piano was an old, out of tune junker.

It wasn't until I started playing nice, well-maintained pianos that my playing really took off. Without the restrictions of a gunked-up this or that, I could play without hindrance. Since then, I've diligently built a company around bringing the best sound out of each piano my team and I service.

Take your performance to the next level.

I'm John O’Connor, founder of CT Piano.

Whether your piano came from Craigslist or has been in your family for generations, we treat every instrument with white-glove care.

Here’s What You Can Expect

We know our stuff.

With hundreds of happy, piano-loving clients to prove it, our team has spent more than a decade maintaining, repairing, and restoring pianos of every shape and size.

We tell the whole truth.

Sometimes the honest answer is that restoration will cost more than a piano is worth. If that’s the case, we’ll tell you—before you spend a dime.

We speak your language.

Whether you’re a lifelong pianist or brand new to owning a piano, we meet you where you are and explain everything clearly.

Start with a no-pressure appointment.
